Montex 1:32 Hurricane Mk.I is a set of self-adhesive masks for spraying a model of the British fighter in 1:32 scale. It is not a kit but an accessory for the Fly kit.

These pre-cut self-adhesive masks from the Polish manufacturer Montex are used to cover areas of the model that are to stay free of paint after spraying. The shapes match the outlines of the Fly kit, so the masks only need to be peeled off and laid down; measuring and cutting masking tape falls away. The item is not an aircraft model but an accessory for a kit in 1:32 scale.
The Hawker Hurricane Mk.I was the first production version of the British fighter with the Rolls-Royce Merlin engine. The design came from an older school: a lattice structure fuselage with partly fabric covering, a sturdy wide undercarriage and an armament of 7.7 mm machine guns concentrated in the wing. Early aircraft had a two-blade propeller, later replaced by a three-blade unit. In numbers the type was the backbone of the British fighter defense in 1940.
The Hurricane cockpit has an angular canopy with straight frames, so the masks sit easily, but it pays to watch that they are square. Lay them on dry and check that they meet before you take the backing off. Wash the glazing beforehand in lukewarm soapy water. Lay the paint on thinly and square to the surface, not at an angle under the edge of a mask. If you intend to flatten the model afterwards, take the masks off first, because a flat clear coat seals their edges and removing them then damages the finish. Wipe any remaining adhesive away with a cotton bud moistened with water.
This is an add-on masking set, not a kit. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
