Fabric cockpit seatbelts from HGW for the LVG C.VI in 1:32 scale, of microtextile with photo-etched buckles. It is not a model, but a detail accessory for the interior.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of realistic cockpit seat belts for models of the LVG C.VI biplane in 1:32 scale. It is not a kit of the airplane, but a detail accessory from the Czech manufacturer HGW. The belts are of fine microtextile with photo-etched metal buckles and reproduce the period cloth straps faithfully, with a natural sag.
The LVG C.VI was a German two-seat armed reconnaissance and observation biplane of the late phase of the First World War, powered by an inline engine. Its crew consisted of a pilot and an observer, who worked a flexible machine gun. The machine was one of the proven multi-purpose types of the end of the war.
Shorten the microtextile straps to the length needed, crumple the cloth lightly and smooth it again for a realistic shape. Thread them through the photo-etched buckles and glue them to the seats with PVA glue (white glue). Do not use super glue, as it could stiffen or mark the fabric. The belts are pre-toned and resist the ordinary preparations; they will also take a discreet period patina.
The accessory does not include the model itself, glue or paints. It is intended for completing an existing kit.
