Metal turnbuckles GasPatch Turnbuckles RAF Late Type — a set of 60 tiny turnbuckles for faithful rigging of biplane models in 1:32 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains 60 metal turnbuckles of the RAF Late Type pattern for modeling rigging in 1:32 scale. It is not a model, but a fine accessory that increases the realism of the rigging of old biplanes. A turnbuckle is a tiny sleeve with which the bracing wires between the wings and the fuselage were tensioned on the real aircraft.
On biplanes from the First World War and the interwar era, the shape of the wing cell is held by a system of bracing wires. On a model the wires are imitated with a thin thread or an elastic filament, and it is into these turnbuckles that the filament is threaded, so that the joints look like real tensioning fittings and not like a mere thread tied to a hole.
For advanced aircraft modelers who rig biplanes in 1:32 scale and want a realistic termination of the wires.
Very tiny metal parts. Work with tweezers and take care that the parts are not lost; keep out of the reach of children.
