Cotton plant from the manufacturer JTT is a set of forty finished plants 1.3 cm tall. It makes it possible to create a continuous field or bed on a diorama and on a model railroad in H0 scale.

The package contains forty finished cotton plants roughly 1.3 cm tall. The plants are painted and ready to be planted at once; nothing has to be assembled or painted afterwards. The manufacturer lists the item in H0 scale, that is, 1:87. The higher number of pieces in the package matters here: cotton is not grown one bush at a time, so it is precisely a continuous strip or regular rows that make a scene believable.
Plan the base out first; with a field crop it pays to mark the rows with a lightly scribed line, so that the planting does not come out crooked. Pierce or drill a hole in the terrain to suit the stem and glue the plant in with PVA glue, or on a smooth base with a drop of cyanoacrylate glue. Keep the rows regular but not mechanically identical, and leave the spacing looser at the edges of the field. Dust and fine soil scattered around the stems will hide the gluing point and the scene will immediately gain depth. Forty pieces are enough for a smaller field or for a few rows in the foreground.
For railroad modelers in H0 scale, for makers of agricultural and rural dioramas and for anyone who wants finished vegetation without making it themselves. Thanks to the large number of pieces the set is practical as a stock for several scenes as well.
