1:32 MiG-21 MF 9309 Dongo (1989) is a sheet of waterslide decals from the Hungarian brand HAD models for the single-seat MiG-21MF with the fuselage number 9309. An accessory for a model, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet of waterslide decals in 1:32 scale for the single-seat MiG-21MF with the fuselage number 9309 in its state as of 1989. The nickname Dongo belonged to the Hungarian squadron with which the machine of this number served; the same subject exists in a smaller scale as well. The package holds decals only.
The MiG-21MF is the single-seat version of the second generation of this supersonic fighter aircraft, recognizable by its high spine and the gun armament in a pack under the fuselage. It was the most widespread variant in the armament of the states of central Europe and in modeling it is among the most often built machines of all. In the large scale of 1:32 it stands out how small the markings and lettering on the real aircraft actually are against its dimensions.
The MiG-21 has a great many engraved lines, transitions and raised covers, across which the decals have to pass without wrinkling. A softener serves for that: lay it on the already settled motif with a brush and then do not touch it until it has dried. The film will crinkle up at first, which looks bad, but as it dries it tightens by itself and is drawn down onto the surface. If you interfere with it at that stage it will tear. Try the strength of the preparation on an offcut of the sheet, because more aggressive softeners can dissolve a thin film completely.
These are decals on their own, not a model. The kit, paints and varnish are not included in the package.
