A model of the Japanese sports car Nissan GT-R in 1:32 scale from the snap-fit kit line. The parts join by clicking together without glue and the body is molded directly in color, in this case in the dark pearlescent Meteor Flake Black Pearl shade. The model thus comes together over a single evening and you need neither an airbrush nor varnish for it.
The GT-R of the R35 generation appeared at the end of the 2000s and replaced the earlier sporting Skyline with the GT-R designation. It is powered by a turbocharged V6 together with all-wheel drive and a dual-clutch transmission mounted at the rear, which gives the car an unusually even distribution of weight. The GT-R made its name with a combination of very high output and surprisingly approachable behavior, thanks to which it earned a reputation as a technically uncompromising sports car.
A dark pearlescent body is beautiful but it mercilessly shows every light burr left by a gate. Cut the parts off a little way from the edge, therefore, and level the remains carefully with a sharp knife, ideally polishing afterwards with a fine abrasive pad. Going over the small things with a brush moves the model on markedly, that is the brake calipers, the grilles, the exhaust tips and the interior detail. A thin paneliner will accentuate the gaps in the body, but with a dark finish choose a gray rather than a black shade so that the effect is visible. Never glue the glazing with ordinary cement for plastic, because it would fog.
The model is supplied unassembled. The paints, the glue and the accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
