About product

Sopwith 5F.1 Dolphin — painting masks 1:32 (Eduard)

A set of painting masks from the Czech maker Eduard for a model of the British Sopwith 5F.1 Dolphin fighter biplane in 1:32 scale. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory, which serves to mask the glazing and other surfaces precisely while spraying. The masks are cut from an adhesive masking film and follow the shape of the framing.

Use

  • Sticking the pre-cut parts onto the glazing and the canopy framing
  • Masking the wheels or other surfaces, depending on the scope of the set
  • Spraying the paint on with an airbrush or freehand without it creeping under the edge
  • Lifting the masks off once the paint has dried, revealing cleanly bounded surfaces

Who the set is for

The accessory will be appreciated by builders of the Sopwith Dolphin model in 1:32 scale who want to save time on marking the framing out by hand and to get crisp color transitions. The masks will help even less experienced modelers to manage the demanding masking of the glazing.

This is an accessory for painting, not a standalone model. Neither paints nor glue are included in the package.

No. It is a set of painting masks, an accessory that makes masking the glazing and other surfaces easier when painting a model of the Sopwith Dolphin. The model itself is not included.

You stick the pre-cut parts of adhesive film onto the glazing and the canopy framing, spray the paint over them and lift them off once it has dried. The result is clean, crisply bounded surfaces.
