A figure of a combat pilot of the US Navy in 1:32 scale, meant for models of aircraft and for a diorama.
Responsibility details are not available.
A pilot of a carrier-based aircraft of the US Navy wears a flight suit, a seat harness with straps across the chest, a helmet and an oxygen mask. It is precisely this layered equipment that makes the figure a rewarding object to paint: matte fabric, shiny buckles and the smooth shell of the helmet meet on it.
A model of an aircraft with no crew comes across as static and the viewer judges its size worse. A figure beside the machine or in the cockpit gives the model scale and action. In 1:32 scale it is moreover worth spending time on the face and the small details of the equipment, because they are clearly visible in a finished scene.
Before painting, wash the figure in lukewarm water with dish soap and let it dry, otherwise the paint may not hold. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder with fine paper. Work from darker tones to lighter ones and finish the face last.
For builders of carrier aircraft in 1:32 scale and for makers of dioramas from an air base or the deck of an aircraft carrier.
The model of the aircraft, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
