The resin detail set Parabellum MG14/17 (2 pieces) in 1:32 scale from GasPatch models — a pair of German First World War aircraft machine guns for refining biplane kits.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail set of a pair of German Parabellum MG14/17 aircraft machine guns in 1:32 scale from the Greek manufacturer GasPatch models. This is not an airplane kit but a set of replacement parts with which you replace the simplified machine guns of plastic biplane kits and gain faithful, sharply cast detail. The package holds two complete machine guns cast in durable resin; thanks to the printed master the barrel in these sets is usually cast hollow.
The Parabellum LMG 14 and its later MG14/17 variant was a German rifle-caliber 7.92 mm aircraft machine gun developed from the ground-based Maxim system. It was lighter and faster-firing, air-cooled, and was used above all as the observer's flexible defensive weapon on two-seat machines. The 14/17 variant was given a slimmer cooling jacket and reworked controls.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent residue, cut the casting gates off carefully and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a primer before painting; sand the fine parts with respiratory protection. The detail comes out splendidly once it has been picked out with a wash and a dry brush.
The detail set does not hold an airplane model, glue or paints. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
