The photo-etched HGW 1:32 WWI Instrument Bezels are fine metal instrument bezels that will give the instrument panel of a First World War airplane model a realistic look. A universal accessory, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a photo-etched detail accessory, not a model of the airplane. The set contains fine metal bezels for the instruments, which are fitted around the dials on the instrument panel. It is intended universally for models of First World War airplanes in the large 1:32 scale, where the details of the cockpit are conspicuously visible.
The instruments in period cockpits had metal bezels around their glass dials. In a large scale a plastic or decal instrument without a bezel looks flat. Photo-etched bezels give every gauge a raised edge and depth; combined with a dial decal or hand painting, a convincing instrument panel comes about.
The photo-etched parts are of thin sheet, brass or steel, on a common fret. Cut the individual parts off with a sharp knife on a hard surface and bend the folds exactly along the marked lines, best of all in a bending tool or on a straight blade. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate); on larger surfaces a two-part epoxy can be used for a longer time to position the part. Degrease the flat sheet before painting and apply a thin layer of primer, so that the fine relief stays sharp.
This is not a complete model of the airplane. The set does not contain glue, paints or a kit; it serves as a detail accessory to a base model.
