A turned barrel for the Panther Ausf. G in 1:35 scale from Aber, 7.5 cm caliber with a muzzle brake. It is not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A turned metal barrel of 7.5 cm caliber in 1:35 scale for a model of the German tank Panther in the Ausf. G version, including the muzzle brake. It is not a kit but a replacement for a plastic part. The manufacturer lists the barrels for the Panther by version, so check against the machine you are building which of them you need, so as not to buy a set for a different variant.
The Ausf. G was the last and the most numerous production version of the Panther. Against the older machines it had a modified hull with a simpler shape of the side plates and without the driver's front vision port, which simplified production and at the same time raised the resistance of the frontal armor. The 7.5 cm gun with its long barrel remained unchanged and belonged to the most effective weapons of its caliber that appeared during the war.
Cut the plastic barrel off as close to the turret as possible and drill the seating so that the spigot of the metal barrel sits firmly but does not pass all the way through. Degrease the metal with alcohol and apply a primer, otherwise the paint will not hold on the smooth surface. It is glued with super glue, that is, cyanoacrylate, drop by drop. Fit the barrel only at the end of the build so that it is not bent during handling, and check its axis by eye from the front while the glue sets.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
