A diorama accessory in 1:35 scale from the Polish brand Eureka XXL. It is NOT a model of a vehicle - it is a set of artillery rounds with wooden crates. The 8.8 cm Pzgr.Patr.40/43 round is a sub-caliber armor-piercing projectile (APCR) for the long Kw.K.43 L/71 gun. It armed the Tiger II, the Ferdinand/Elefant, the Nashorn, the Jagdpanther and the Jagdtiger. The package consists of turned metal projectiles and cases and resin and photo-etched crate parts.
The Kw.K.43 L/71 was among the most effective anti-tank weapons of the war; a longer case and a tungsten core in the projectile gave it exceptional penetrating power at long range. Rounds stowed in crates are a prized detail on dioramas.
Glue both the resin and the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), and first wash the resin free of mold release agent and cut off the casting blocks; protect your airways when sanding. The metal projectiles come out well in brass and steel shades, and the wood is suggested with glazes and a dry brush.
This is an accessory, not a stand-alone model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the basic model are not included in the package.
