An injection-molded plastic kit of the modern Russian 9K330 Tor mobile air defense system in 1:35 scale from Panda Hobby. The set contains a detailed tracked vehicle with its launcher and radar system and usually comes with photo-etched parts, clear parts, metal track components and modeling cord. Because of the complexity of the assembly it is better suited to more experienced modelers.
The 9K330 Tor (NATO reporting name SA-15 Gauntlet) is a mobile short-range air defense system on a tracked chassis. On a single vehicle it carries both a search and a guidance radar and a battery of eight vertically stowed guided missiles, with which it can destroy aircraft, helicopters, unmanned vehicles and precision-guided munitions at low and medium altitudes. In service it replaced an older short-range system.
Work carefully according to the instructions, especially on the radar and the launcher block. Glue the plastic with liquid cement and the fine photo-etched and metal parts with super glue. We recommend a primer and an airbrush; a single-color green or a multicolor camouflage scheme is common. Bring out the panel lines with washes, dust the running gear with pigments and bring the edges to life with light wear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
