Aber 1:35 ammunition boxes for the American M2 machine gun is a photo-etched metal detail set from the Polish manufacturer Aber for models of military equipment in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
An Aber photo-etched metal detail set in 1:35 scale. It holds ammunition boxes for the American M2 heavy machine gun of the Second World War period. They serve as a realistic accessory for models of vehicles, dioramas and figure scenes, where plastic boxes tend to be coarser and without fine detail.
The M2 machine gun of 12.7 mm was an American heavy machine gun fielded during the Second World War on vehicles and as an anti-aircraft and infantry weapon. Its ammunition came in characteristic sheet-metal boxes with a lid and handles, which this set represents.
The photo-etched metal parts are thin and small, so separate them with a sharp knife on a cutting surface and bend them over a metal ruler or a photo-etch bending tool. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), as cement for plastic does not hold on metal. Degrease the metal before painting and go over it with a coat of primer so that the finish holds; at the end a fine wash and pigments help to pick out the detail.
This is a detail accessory, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
