An additional photo-etched set from the Polish manufacturer Aber focused on the stowage bins of the Sd.Kfz. 251/1 half-track carrier, version D. The metal parts let you build fine external bins with a realistic wall thickness. The package does not hold the model itself. The exact content of the frets differs from one set of this kind to another.
The Sd.Kfz. 251 was a German half-track armored personnel carrier of the Second World War, nicknamed the Hanomag after its maker. The late Ausf. D version carried characteristic stowage bins along the sides of the hull. The 251/1 variant served as the standard infantry carrier.
Bend the bin walls on a bending tool so that the edges come out sharp, and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Degrease the metal before painting and go over it with a primer. The inside of the bins can be finished with weathering for a used look.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
