The plastic figure set Blitzkrieg in France! (France 1940) from Dragon in 1:35 scale, a scene from the campaign in the west in 1940.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic figure set from Dragon in 1:35 scale captures a scene from the German campaign into France in 1940. The group of figures shows German infantrymen of the early phase of the war taking French tank crewmen prisoner; the contrast of victors and defeated gives the scene a storytelling charge. The figures wear the early-war uniforms and equipment of both armies and come with period weapons, among them the MP-28 submachine gun. It is a figure kit to be assembled and painted, not a finished model.
Blitzkrieg, meaning lightning war, denotes the rapid advance of German armored and infantry formations through Belgium and France in May and June 1940. A combination of mobility, air support and a concentrated blow led within a few weeks to the capitulation of France. The set depicts a typical situation of the time, the capture of a French tank crew.
Separate the parts carefully and clean up the mold parting seams, so that you do not spoil the relief of the uniforms. Glue with styrene cement or with cyanoacrylate. It is best to paint the figures part by part before assembly; the different uniforms of the two sides allow an interesting color composition. Bring the faces and the transitions of the cloth to life with oils and a dry brush.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
