New Ware 1:35 masks for the 2P-19 with the R-17 missile (SCUD B), EXPERT are precise self-adhesive painting masks of thin washi tape for painting a model cleanly.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precise, accurately shaped self-adhesive painting masks for a model of the 2P-19 launcher with the R-17 ballistic missile in 1:35 scale. The masks are cut from thin, flexible washi (kabuki) tape, which follows shapes well, holds to an edge and leaves no adhesive residue when peeled off. The EXPERT level means the most comprehensive variant of the set: besides the cab glazing it also covers small items such as lights, mirrors and other details meant to be painted separately.
You lift the mask from the sheet, seat it precisely on the part and press the edges down. You can then apply paint with an airbrush or a brush without any risk of it running onto the glass or the surrounding areas. Once dry you carefully remove the mask. The result is sharp, clean transitions that are hard to achieve with unmasking done by hand.
The 2P-19 was a Soviet tracked launcher (a transporter-erector-launcher) built on a heavy tank chassis, which carried the R-17 tactical ballistic missile of the 8K14 complex, given the NATO reporting name SCUD B. The system was introduced at the beginning of the 1960s and was later replaced by a wheeled version on a MAZ chassis. Both the missile and the vehicle became an icon of Cold War missile technology.
This is a set of masks, an accessory for painting a model. The model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
