An Eduard 1:35 photo-etched set of fenders for the heavy Ferdinand tank destroyer replaces the plastic fenders with fine parts of photo-etched sheet.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched set of the Eduard brand in 1:35 scale meant for a model of the German heavy tank destroyer Ferdinand. It is not a kit but an accessory of thin brass sheet, which replaces the coarser plastic fenders with truer etched parts, including the pressings and the bends suggested in them.
The Ferdinand (later, in its rebuilt form, the Elefant) was a heavy tank destroyer of the German army deployed from the fighting at Kursk in 1943. It carried a massive gun of 8.8 cm caliber and was among the heaviest tracked vehicles of its day.
Nip the parts carefully out of the fret, shape the precise bends on a bender or along a ruler and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) or with epoxy. Degrease the sheet before painting and treat it with a primer for metal.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a model. The kit itself and paints are not included in the package.
