Responsibility details are not available.
The Sturmpanzer IV, known by the nickname Brummbär, is a German assault armored vehicle of the Second World War built on the chassis of the Panzer IV tank. In place of a rotating turret it carries a closed armored superstructure with a short howitzer of 15 cm designated the StuH 43, meant to destroy fortifications and built-up areas at short range. The vehicle came about in several production series, which differ from each other in the shape of the superstructure and in some of the equipment.
A replacement barrel of the 15 cm StuH 43 howitzer for a model of the Sturmpanzer IV Brummbär in 1:35 scale, made in the variant matching middle and late production. It replaces the barrel from the kit. A turned part is straight along its whole length and has no lengthwise join of the kind left by gluing two plastic halves together, so the long business of sanding and reshaping the muzzle falls away. The extent of the work needed on the kit parts and the exact seating are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Try the part dry before gluing and carefully work any lug in the seating of the superstructure, so that the barrel sits level and true to the axis. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue; ordinary cement for plastic models has no effect on this material. Before painting, wash and degrease the barrel and cover it with a base coat, or the paint will not hold on the smooth surface.
The kit of the vehicle, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
