A turned metal barrel 75 mm KwK 42 L/70 with a muzzle brake in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Aber. Intended for models of the Panther Ausf. G tank in the late form and for the Panther II project.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a turned metal barrel in 1:35 scale from the Polish manufacturer Aber, supplemented with a muzzle brake. It replaces the plastic barrel of the 75 mm gun (designation 7.5 cm KwK 42 L/70) on models of the Panther Ausf. G tank in the late form and on builds of the Panther II project. It is not a model of a vehicle but a detail accessory for raising the fidelity of a build.
The 7.5 cm KwK 42 gun with a barrel 70 calibers long was among the most powerful armor-piercing weapons of its day. The high muzzle velocity gave the Panther exceptional range and accuracy, and the markedly long barrel with a two-chamber muzzle brake is at the same time the most conspicuous feature of the vehicle's silhouette. The Panther Ausf. G was the most numerously produced version, whereas the Panther II stayed at the stage of an unfinished project and in modeling it turns up as a project variant.
A long metal barrel is sensitive to the axis, so fit it dry first and check that it points straight. Degrease the surfaces and glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Go over the metal with a base coat for metals, or the paint will hold poorly. It is advisable to paint the muzzle brake separately, so that its openings do not get clogged.
This is a detail accessory, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
