The German MG08 machine gun in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer ICM is a plastic accessory for dioramas and figure scenes, not a vehicle kit in its own right.
Responsibility details are not available.
This plastic set from the Ukrainian manufacturer ICM renders the German MG08 heavy machine gun in 1:35 scale. It is neither a vehicle kit nor a figure, but an accessory: a model of the weapon intended for dioramas, for figure scenes and for completing models of equipment where period-correct armament is needed. The parts are injection-molded in plastic and are glued with ordinary cement for plastic models.
The MG08 was a German heavy machine gun derived from Hiram Maxim's design and built under license from 1908. It worked on the short recoil principle, the barrel was cooled by a water jacket and the 7.92 mm rounds were fed from a fabric belt. The weapon was mounted on a heavy sledge mount, which allowed accurately directed fire at long range but was heavy, and several men were needed to move and serve it. The MG08 formed the basis of the heavy machine gun armament of the German infantry in the First World War and appeared to a limited extent later with rear-area and fortress units.
The parts are small, so separate them with sprue cutters and clean them up with a sharp knife. The water jacket and the mount will take a dark steel shade, which can be brought out by lightly burnishing with graphite or with a dry brush of silver paint on the edges. Do the wooden parts of the stock as a glaze over a light base. The feed hose to the cooling can be suggested with thin wire or stretched sprue if it is not in the set. Weather the whole with a dark wash and pigments in the shade of the surrounding soil, so that the weapon fits into the scene you are building it for.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and figures are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
