An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Panzer IV/70 (A) tank destroyer, designation Sd.Kfz.162/1, in 1:35 scale from Hobby Boss. The model captures the version with the raised superstructure and the long anti-tank gun. The package holds a one-piece lower hull and a multi-part upper hull, a detailed running gear with individual track links, photo-etched side skirts and clear parts for the vision ports.
The Panzer IV/70 tank destroyer was based on the proven Panzer IV chassis and carried the powerful long 7.5 cm Pak 42 gun with a barrel length of 70 calibers, which could destroy Allied tanks at long range. The version with the letter A had a taller armored superstructure than the other version. The German army fielded these vehicles at the end of the Second World War.
Assemble and weather the running gear and the individual track links before fitting them to the hull. Glue the photo-etched side skirts patiently. An airbrush suits the late-war camouflage schemes; the anti-magnetic coating and the three-color camouflage are both characteristic, and you can complete the wear with rubbing, washes and dust pigments.
