The set

A set of figures in 1:35 scale named Heroes 2, that is, the second item of the range of the same name. The 1:35 scale is the most widespread one for figures to go with military vehicles, so the set matches the size of the usual tank and armored vehicle kits as well as dioramas in the same scale.

What figures do for a model

A figure is the simplest way to give a finished model a sense of scale and a story. A figure by a tank turret shows at once how big the machine really is, and a pair of figures already turns a static model into a scene. Think the placing of the figures through before you glue the model up for good, because some positions call for an open hatch or a reworked seat.

Building and painting tips

Before painting, wash the parts in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap and let them dry thoroughly; a degreased surface holds the primer considerably better. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder down carefully so that you do not lose the shape of the folds. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts and check the exact procedure in the manufacturer's instructions.
