The 1:35 IDF license plates, part 2 set from the manufacturer ELEFANT continues the decal series with markings of Israeli army equipment. It is an accessory for a finished model, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The second sheet of the decal series in 1:35 scale with the registration plates of Israeli army vehicles. It is not a model and not a kit but an accessory used in the final stages of the work, when the vehicle is painted and waiting for its markings. Splitting the subject into several sheets lets a modeler put together the markings for the particular machine being built without using up one sheet across several models.
Registration plates are among the elements that catch the eye immediately on Israeli equipment, because they sit in clearly visible positions on the front and rear of the vehicle. For a modeler it matters that the size of the characters matches the scale and that the shape of the lettering is right. A hand-painted inscription at this size almost never looks good; a decal solves the problem.
Prepare the base with gloss varnish and let it dry thoroughly. Take the decal out of the water only at the moment the film begins to release from the backing paper, and transfer it into place with a soft brush. Press it down through a paper tissue so that any bubbles disappear. On broken areas, for example over rivets or edges, use a softener and let the decal settle without touching it again. A final matte varnish evens the surface out and the edge of the film disappears.
The supplementary set is supplied without a model. Paints, varnishes, decal softener and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
