The Voyager Model 1:35 photo-etched set of side skirts for the Israeli Merkava Mk.3D tank is an accessory for a plastic kit you already own, not a model in itself. It replaces the plastic side panels with thin brass sheet of the right thickness. It reckons with the Hobby Boss 82441 kit.

These are the covers hung along the running gear. Voyager Model is a Chinese manufacturer of photo-etched accessories for military subjects in 1:35 scale.
The target kit is Hobby Boss 82441; that is bought separately.
The Merkava is an Israeli main battle tank whose design puts the emphasis on protecting the crew, among other things by placing the powerpack in the forward part of the hull. The Mk.3D version is marked out by modular armor, which can be replaced section by section after a hit. It is precisely the modular panels and the side skirts that give the vehicle its characteristic look and are the most exposed surface on a model.
On the real vehicle the side skirts are the feature that takes the punishment first: they scrape against the ground, bend and get dented. Photo-etched brass is therefore the ideal material. A part can be carefully formed, tapped with a blunt edge or bent so that it looks used, which cannot be done with plastic without visible cracks. Once painted, it is then enough to expose an edge down to bare metal with fine abrasive paper or a scalpel, and you have wear that no silver paint can imitate. Use the effect sparingly and only where the sheet would genuinely be scraped.
Cut the plastic side panels off and level the surface before you start gluing the photo-etched parts on. Use thin cyanoacrylate in a minimal amount. Degrease the brass and cover it with a primer for metal, otherwise the paint will come off the long parts while you handle them. Paint thinly; the Israeli desert shade is brought out by dust pigments along the lower edge.
The set is an accessory for a plastic kit, which it does not include. The glue, paints and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
