The Type 16 MCV (Maneuver Combat Vehicle) is a modern Japanese wheeled combat vehicle in an 8x8 layout, which began reaching units in 2017. It is highly mobile and serves for fire support and for fighting armored targets within rapidly deployable units. It carries a home-designed 105 mm gun with low recoil, a muzzle brake and a fire control system that allows accurate shooting even on the move. Thanks to its powerful engine it reaches a high road speed and a long range.
On a wheeled vehicle, assemble the running gear, the axles and the wheels so that the model sits correctly, and paint the lower areas before closing up the hull. Separate the parts with a cutter and glue them with liquid cement for plastic; rubber tires will not bond with ordinary cement for plastic. After spraying the base shade with an airbrush, pick out the panel lines and the details with a wash and suggest dust and grime with pigments on the wheels and the underside.
