An accessory for painting, not a kit. The set holds pre-cut masks for the model of the K-4350 military truck in 1:35 scale. It covers the areas that are meant to stay clear and keeps a sharp transition between the color of the cab and the glazing.
The K-4350 is an off-road truck with all-wheel drive and a cab placed over the engine. Its glazing is therefore large and flat: a wide windshield divided by a pillar, rectangular door windows and small corner lights, plus large round headlights and marker lights. Large windows tempt you into masking them with tape, but they are exactly where every millimeter by which the edge strays from the frame shows. A pre-cut piece has an identical edge on both sides of the cab.
On a truck the glazing usually goes into the cab only at the end, so stick the mask onto the clear part off the model, while you can still turn it freely. Paint the cab, let it dry and fit the transparent parts in with the mask already on, so that glue cannot get onto the clear surface. Take the mask off at the very end, once the varnish has cured and the weathering is finished. On large areas pull the film at an angle and steadily, otherwise a burr is left on the edge.
The package holds masking material only. The model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
