Two pieces of a replacement machine gun ball mount for the frontal hull armor of a model of the Panther Ausf. G tank of late production, the variant with the smaller opening, type 2, in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Panther Ausf. G was the last serially built version of the German Panther medium tank and it differed from the earlier renderings mainly in the shape of the hull sides. In the frontal hull armor it had a ball mount, in German Kugelblende, into which the machine gun operated by the radio operator was fitted. It was precisely this element that occurred in several shape renderings on late machines, so the machine being built can be placed in time by it.
The set contains two pieces of the ball mount for a model of the Panther in the G version of late production, in the variant with the smaller opening designated as type 2. The replacement part is used where the builder wants to replace the component from the box with one of a different shape. Check this against the manufacturer's data on the box and in the instructions.
Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and carefully sand the remainder back, so that the spherical shape and the rim of the opening are preserved. Choose the glue according to the manufacturer's instructions: on parts that are not polystyrene, plastic cement has no effect and cyanoacrylate is used. Before painting, wash the part in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent and let it dry. Seat the mount on the axis of the opening in the frontal armor and bring the opening out with a dark shade, otherwise it will disappear on the model.
The package contains the two replacement parts stated. The vehicle kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
