An injection-molded plastic kit of the West German light artillery rocket system LARS 2 on the chassis of an off-road truck, in 1:35 scale from the brand Hobby Boss. The model offers a richly broken-up build with a complete drivetrain, a cab with clear window parts and the launcher block for the rockets.
LARS, that is, the light artillery rocket system, was a West German self-propelled rocket launcher meant to concentrate fire on a target quickly. It carried 110 mm rockets in two blocks and was mounted on an off-road truck. The LARS 2 version was a modernization of the system. It served with the German army during the Cold War.
Assemble the chassis, the drivetrain and the cab first, and only then add the launcher. Fit the rubber tires and the clear window parts only once the painting is done. After a base coat with an airbrush, a wash and dust or mud pigments on the chassis will give the vehicle depth.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
