1:35 Lunadiver Stingray

What the kit is about

A plastic kit in 1:35 scale named the Lunadiver Stingray, a science fiction subject. Fantasy machines have one pleasant advantage over historical equipment in modeling: nobody compares them with a photograph of a real subject, so the builder has a free hand in the color, in the wear and in whatever story is invented for the machine.

What the kit contains

Plastic parts for building a model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The number of parts, the extent of the delivery and which variants the instructions offer are stated by the manufacturer. The particular form of the machine is stated on the box and in the details from the manufacturer.

Building and painting tips

• cut the parts off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the rest away
• try the assembly dry; with intricate shapes that pays off twice over
• wash and degrease the model before painting
• a base coat shows up the gaps and scratches before the paint reaches them
• with fantasy machines, richer wear works better than with historical ones
• a base or a scenic surface lifts a machine considerably in a display case

Who it is for

For modelers who like fantasy machines and are not afraid of a color scheme of their own. The 1:35 scale is also shared with military equipment, so figures, accessories and scenic elements that match the same size can be bought to go with the model. Paints, glue, a base and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
