A resin accessory in 1:35 scale from the PANZER ART brand, which replaces the plastic gun mantlet on the turret of the Panther Ausf. D medium tank in its early production form. It is not a tank kit but a standalone detail part. The casting captures the characteristic cast surface with traces of the mold and casting marks.
The Panther Ausf. D was the first production version of the German Panther medium tank of the Second World War. The cast gun mantlet covered the mounting of the long-barreled 7.5 cm KwK 42 gun. The early forms of the mantlet differed from the later ones in details of the surface and of the casting, which this part faithfully captures.
Before gluing, wash the mold release residue off the part, carefully cut off the casting block and clean the surfaces up. Bond the resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways when sanding. The casting comes out best once a primer has been sprayed on, the part painted and the cast surface picked out with a wash and a dry brush.
This is a resin detail accessory, not a model of the vehicle. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
