Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit from the science fiction MechatroWeGo range of the Japanese manufacturer Hasegawa, in 1:35 scale. It is an original design of a small work robot with a prominent cabin and short limbs, which Hasegawa puts out in numbered releases; this one carries the designation number 17. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
MechatroWeGo does not grow out of a real machine but out of a free artistic idea close to fantasy modeling: the robot is conceived as a small universal helper with an enclosed cabin, simple moving elements and tools. The individual numbers of the range differ from one another in color treatment, fittings and mood, so collectors often build them in groups and complete them with diorama settings. It is precisely the freedom of the subject that is the main advantage: nobody dictates historical accuracy to a modeler, and the color schemes and weathering are entirely a matter of taste.
Robotic shapes have large smooth surfaces that invite experiment. If you want a clean, illustrative look, reach for a deep color and light shading; for a technical, worn look use chipping, fine rust shades and a dry brush on the edges. Assemble the joints and moving elements dry and try them, so that the finish is not rubbed. The cabin and the clear parts deserve masks, or carefully applied frames with a fine brush. The model takes a diorama base well, because it is a civilian machine and a workshop or construction site setting suggests itself.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
