MIG Productions 1:35 PG 117 Soviet Fast Boat is an all-resin kit of a Soviet fast boat with a worked-out interior, intended for experienced modelers.

An all-resin kit from the Spanish manufacturer MIG Productions in 1:35 scale. It is not an accessory but a stand-alone model of a small fast boat from the period of the Second World War, which can be built either as an exhibit on its own or as a striking element of a diorama with a bank, a jetty and figures. The castings have an imitation of wooden structure on the outer skin and inside as well, so the surface looks faithful straight after painting with no further work.
Wash the castings first in lukewarm water with detergent, so that the remains of the mold release agent disappear. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw, level any flash with a file and do the sanding wet with your breathing protected. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Finish, paint and weather the interior before you attach the elements that block access to it. The wooden structure deserves a layered approach: a base tone, oil glazes for the differing shades of the planks and finally a dark wash into the gaps. The outer side below the waterline will take heavier weathering, rubs and algae; if you set the model into a water surface, count on that while painting.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a resin kit for experienced modelers. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package.
