A decal set in 1:35 with markings of twelve Tiger I in the mid production version, from a Russian winter through Italy to Normandy.
Responsibility details are not available.
The sheet covers twelve particular vehicles of the Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger I in the Ausf.E version of the mid production series. That is the form the machine took roughly in the second half of 1943: the smoke grenade launchers disappeared from the sides of the turret, a new type of commander's cupola was added and the nose was simplified. The subjects are spread across three fronts at once, so a Russian winter, an Italian spring and a Normandy summer can all be built from a single set.
The units represented range from the heavy tank battalions sPzAbt.501, sPzAbt.506, sPzAbt.507 and sPzAbt.508 to the third company of an SS heavy tank battalion. Here you will find the number 3 from Rome of March 1944, the vehicle numbered 112 from Anzio and Nettuno of April that year, the pair 313 and 333 from Belgium in January 1944 and the machines 131 and 331 from the Normandy invasion. The number series are chosen so that a whole company can be put together with no repetition.
Even the area under a motif out to a gloss shade, otherwise air will be closed in under the film and the edges will turn white once dry. It is worth reaching for a softener, because both the turret and the fenders of a Tiger have edges that the markings have to pass over without wrinkling. The kit of the tank itself and the paints are supplied separately.
