The DSPIAE Tungsten Steel Panel Line Scriber Push Broach 1.0 mm is a push scriber of tungsten steel with a chisel edge 1.0 mm wide for wide grooves and seams.
Responsibility details are not available.
A push scriber of tungsten steel, with an edge a whole millimeter wide. Here it is no longer a question of fine panel lines but of grooves that are meant to read on the model as a structural feature, and of work on the shape of the plastic, where the tool is expected to remove a greater volume of material.
The range of these scribers runs in graded widths, and the millimeter value is the turning point in it. Below it we move in the band where the groove imitates a seam between panels. From a millimeter upward the logic is different: the groove becomes a shape feature, that is the suggestion of a channel, a track groove, a frame or a cut-out. So when choosing, do not reason from the scale of the model but from what the result is meant to represent. If you are not sure, start with a narrower tool, because widening a finished groove is easy, while narrowing it is practically impossible.
For modelers who alter the shape of parts and not just their surface, and for builders who are missing the step between the fine and the coarse band in their set.
The tool has a sharp working edge along its whole width. Work on a firm mat, secure the part against turning and guide the stroke away from your other hand.
