The turned metal barrel replaces the plastic barrel of the main gun of the Soviet IS-7 heavy tank. The metal part is perfectly straight, with a sharply executed muzzle brake and a faithful profile. It is a detail accessory, not a kit of the whole vehicle. The designation pattern 2 distinguishes this variant from another execution of the barrel in the line.
The IS-7 was a Soviet heavy tank from the end of the Second World War which remained at the prototype stage. It was notable for its massive armor and a powerful gun of large caliber; the massive barrel is one of its prominent marks.
Degrease the metal surface before painting and go over it with a primer for metal so that the paint holds well. The barrel can be sanded and polished; complement the Soviet green with metal wear on the edge of the muzzle brake and dust pigments. Adapt the seating of the barrel in the mantlet to the base model.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
