A set of metal, white metal, assembled track links from Friulmodel, intended for the German Marder 1A5 infantry fighting vehicle, the Schützenpanzer, in 1:35 scale. It is NOT a kit of the vehicle but a detail accessory replacing the plastic or rubber tracks from the box of a model. The individual links are joined with the wire supplied, which forms the pins; the metal gives the track a realistic weight and sag.
The Marder is a German tracked infantry fighting vehicle; the 1A5 version represents the upgraded form with raised protection. Metal workable tracks raise the realism of the running gear, they hold their shape while being weathered and they adapt to the sprocket and the idler wheel better than the tracks from the box. The set is intended for a matching model of the Marder in the same scale.
Clean the links up, assemble them on the wire pins and secure the ends. Degrease the metal before painting and put on a primer suited to metal. For a realistic look use a dark base, dry brushing on the steel edges and earth pigments for mud and dust in the running gear.
This is a detail accessory, metal track links, not a complete model. The base model of the vehicle, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
