This is modeling equipment, not a kit. The board is made of metal, so it holds a flat plane even under greater pressure and, unlike a plastic or wooden holder, does not bend over time. That is essential in sanding: a flat surface comes about only when the carrier of the abrasive is flat too. The blue version is one of the color variants the manufacturer offers in this range.

Use

• Self-adhesive sandpaper is stuck onto the board and the sanding is done with a surface rather than with the fingers. That prevents bulging and wavy joints.
• Ideal for large flat areas where every uneven pressure shows: the sides of a fuselage, a hull, a car body, wing panels.
• The metal edge of the board makes it possible to work right up against engraved lines and not sand them away while leveling their surroundings.
• It pays to have several boards with different grits and to move between them rather than keep changing the paper on one.
• Wipe the board after work. A metal surface is easy to clean and the adhesive residue from the sandpaper comes off it without damage.

Who it is for

For modelers who want their sanding under control and do not want to rely on feel in the fingers, and for builders with large flat areas where waviness shows as soon as the primer is sprayed. The color variants of the same board can also be used practically, as a quick visual way of telling which grit is stuck on which one.

Do not breathe in the sanding dust and work in a ventilated space. Sandpaper is a consumable and is changed with regular work.
