The 1:35 SdKfz 7 – Trumpeter is a Quickwheel masking set for the road wheels. What you do not use up from the sheet straight away is worth storing so that it lasts.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set is an accessory for painting, not a kit. It sets the boundary on a wheel between the wheel disk and the rubber tire and is cut for the kit from the Trumpeter company. We state the target kit because sets for the same vehicle prepared for other kits exist as well.
The masks are lifted off the sheet gradually and the remainder often lies on the table for several weeks before the build reaches the running gear. Store the sheet flat, therefore, best in an envelope or inserted between two pieces of cardboard, so that it does not curl, and out of direct sunlight and away from sources of heat. A bent sheet carries tension into the masks and they then lift at the margin when applied. The second enemy is dust: an uncovered sheet catches enough of it on the adhesive side to keep a mask from seating around the whole perimeter. Leave the masks on the backing until the last moment, therefore, and take them with tweezers, not with your fingers, because a print of grease takes away adhesion just as reliably as dust.
For modelers of the kit mentioned who want their wheels dealt with exactly and do not want to block out the tires with a brush. The vehicle has tires at the front and a tracked running gear at the rear, so it is good to keep straight which part of the model the masks belong to.
Paints, thinners and the kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
