1:35 Shopping Baskets from Matho Models — miniature shopping baskets for dioramas. A typical detail of a modern civilian scene: a shop, a marketplace or a parking lot in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of miniature shopping baskets in 1:35 scale from the production of Matho Models. A diorama prop, not a kit: baskets everybody knows from shops and self-service stores. In a modern civilian scene it is an immediately legible feature that tells the viewer where the action takes place with no explanation.
The baskets belong in front of the entrance of a shop, inside a self-service store, in a marketplace or thrown down in a parking lot. They work strongly in more serious subjects as well; abandoned baskets in front of a looted shop are an eloquent symbol of scenes from present-day conflicts and crises. Stack them into a column by an entrance, leave one tipped over by the curb and the scene will begin to live. Combine them with figures of civilians and small goods.
Real baskets tend to be of richly colored plastic, red, blue, green, with metal or plastic handles. Spray the rich base color on, let the lattice come out with a dark wash and liven the edges up with fine drybrushing in a lighter shade. For scenes of upheaval add dust and dirt with pigments. Work carefully with the fine castings and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
