Aber 1:35 side skirts for the Pz.Kpfw. III is a photo-etched metal detail set from the Polish manufacturer Aber for models of military equipment in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
An Aber photo-etched metal detail set in 1:35 scale. It holds the Schürzen side protective plates for the Pz.Kpfw. III medium tank, including their true thickness and brackets. They replace the thicker plastic skirts and make it possible to render bent or missing pieces as well.
The Pz.Kpfw. III was a German medium tank that formed the backbone of the armored divisions in the first half of the war. The Schürzen side plates were fitted to protect the flanks and the running gear against armor-piercing and shaped charge ammunition; in the field they were often missing.
The photo-etched metal parts are thin and small, so separate them with a sharp knife on a cutting surface and bend them over a metal ruler or a photo-etch bending tool. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), as cement for plastic does not hold on metal. Degrease the metal before painting and go over it with a coat of primer so that the finish holds; at the end a fine wash and pigments help to pick out the detail.
This is a detail accessory, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
