A set of self-adhesive painting masks from the Czech maker Eduard in 1:35 scale. The pre-cut masks help you separate the rubber tire bands of the wheels cleanly from their hubs, so that the paint creates a crisp transition without laborious covering up. This is an accessory which is applied to the parts of the base kit, not a model in its own right; the kit has to be obtained separately.
The sWs, that is the schwerer Wehrmachtsschlepper (heavy army tractor), was a German half-track tractor of the Second World War. In the version with the quadruple 2cm Flakvierling 38 gun mounted on it, it served as a mobile anti-aircraft gun to protect units against low-flying aircraft. It combined cross-country mobility with quickly aimed fire.
Stick the masks onto cleaned and degreased parts, press the edges down carefully and apply the paint in thin coats. Once dry, take the masks off carefully. For a faithful look, a matte period base complemented with weathering by mud and dust proves itself.
