1:35 T-14 Armata is a masking set for the road wheels of the modern Russian tank. It lets the rubber tire bands be sprayed separately from the rims; it is not a kit.

A set of masks for painting the road wheels of the T-14 Armata tank in 1:35 scale. This is not a model or a part, but an aid for the painting stage: the mask covers the rim, you spray the tire band on its own and the border between them stays sharp. According to its name the set is cut for the kits from Trumpeter and ARK Models — with either manufacturer, check before ordering that your box matches.
The T-14 carries a higher number of road wheels of smaller diameter on each side than a modeler is used to on older Soviet and Russian designs. The spacing between the wheels is therefore smaller and the row looks dense, which in painting means more small concentric lines over a short stretch. The second peculiarity is the covering: the running gear is largely hidden behind side panels, so in the end you will see only the lower part of the wheels. That tempts you into skimping on the tire bands, except that it is precisely the lower part that is most exposed when a finished model is viewed at eye level, and an irregular hand-drawn line stands out there. The drive sprocket has no tire band and a mask does not belong on it.
With a larger number of small wheels it pays to prepare the workplace in advance. A proven routine: spike the wheel on a toothpick or a skewer, push the skewer into a board of extruded polystyrene and line the wheels up in the order in which they will go on the model. Pick the masks off the sheet with a needle, transfer them with fine-tipped tweezers and seat them with a blunt tool; at a small diameter the critical part is the edge, which lifts most easily. Do the checking through a magnifier under side lighting rather than from above — side light casts a shadow into every gap between the mask and the wheel. Spray square to the rim and in thin coats; a slanting spray carries paint under the edge of the mask. Keep the waste grid of the sheet aside until the job is finished; it helps in tracing which mask you have not used yet.
This is an accessory for a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
