An Aber telegraph pillar for 4 insulators in 1:35 scale is a diorama structure made of photo-etched and turned parts. You build a pillar fitted with four insulators, not a vehicle model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the manufacturer Aber in 1:35 scale lets you build a telegraph, or power, pillar fitted with four insulators. It is neither a vehicle kit nor a figure, but a standalone diorama feature. The set combines fine photo-etched metal parts with other components for a faithful fit-out of the pillar.
A telegraph pillar is a classic accessory along roads and railways in dioramas of the Second World War and in civilian scenes. It rounds out a column of vehicles, a railway station or a village street and gives a scene both scale and depth. Modelers usually make the shaft of the pillar themselves out of dowel or a skewer, and the set supplies the true head, crossarms and insulators.
Cut the photo-etched parts off the fret and clean them up; sand the wooden shaft and bring out the grain of the wood with a stain or an acrylic. Prime the metal parts and paint them with acrylics; the insulators are finished with a gloss varnish for porcelain or glass. The wires can be strung from fine drawn thread or thin fishing line. Use cyanoacrylate glue for the metal.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The shaft of the pillar, glue, paints and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
