This is a resin set of weapons in 1:35 scale from Bravo 6. It is neither a kit nor a figure but an accessory with which figures are equipped or the interior and the exterior of a model are completed. The subject is the Type 56 carbine, the Chinese license-built equivalent of the SKS self-loading carbine. Beware of confusion: the assault rifle with the same Type 56 designation is a different weapon, derived from the AK design, and the brand lists it as a separate item. The number of pieces in the package is stated on the box.
Cast weapons replace the coarser parts from ordinary kits or complete figures that are supplied without armament. Resin makes it possible to cast thin parts such as the sight, the trigger mechanism or the bayonet far more finely than injection-molded plastic, so even a small weapon in a figure's hand looks believable. The weapons can also be used loose as part of a scene, that is leaned against a wall, laid on a crate or stowed in the stowage space of a vehicle.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with dish soap and let them dry. Cut them off the casting block with a fine saw and with support, because the barrel and the stock are the most vulnerable places. Sand wet and with your airways protected. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). After a thin primer, a wooden stock is done well with a base brown shade over which the grain of the wood is suggested with oil paint; the metal parts then with a dark, slightly glossy shade and fine drybrushing on the edges. Hold any excess shine on the metal back with a matte clear coat, so that the weapon does not look like a toy.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted and contains neither figures nor a model. Glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
