The figure U.S. Infantryman - Ardennes 1944 in 1:35 scale comes from the Polish brand Mantis Miniatures. It is a resin casting intended to be assembled and painted, depicting an American infantryman in winter gear from the Ardennes operation at the turn of 1944 and 1945.
The Ardennes offensive at the end of 1944 took place in freezing, snow-covered terrain, which was reflected in the winter clothing and gear of the American infantrymen. The figure faithfully captures the typical appearance of a soldier of this period, including the warm layered uniform and personal equipment. The subject is treated historically.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut the casting blocks away and glue them with cyanoacrylate; wear respiratory protection when sanding. For a winter scene, cooler shades, washes in the folds and fine dry brushes work well; the effect of snow and mud can be added with modeling pastes and pigments.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
