A self-adhesive sheet with the texture of floor tiles for dioramas in 1:35 scale; according to the name it is not soaked in water.
Responsibility details are not available.
The floor is the largest continuous surface in an interior diorama and it decides whether a scene reads as a room or as a base with figures on it. Hardly anyone wants to scribe a tiled floor into plastic tile by tile. A sheet with a tile texture solves the whole surface at once and leaves time for what shows most in a scene.
According to the name this is a self-adhesive version. The sheet is therefore not soaked in water and no softener is needed for it; soaking would damage it instead. Cut the area to fit the floor, free the surface of dust and grease and press the sheet down from the center out to the edges so that no air is left under it. Run the edges under a wall or under furniture, and the join will then not show.
The transition between the tiles and the surroundings is evened out by a thin coat of matte clear applied by spraying. Only then is it worth working the joints with a dark wash and adding dust, rubble or footprints; dirt collects most along the walls and in the corners, while in the middle of a room the surface is smoothed by walking instead. Work in layers and lightly, because the texture is only on the surface and too much polishing or scrubbing will wipe it away.
A self-adhesive sheet is supplied. A diorama base, a model, paints and glue are not usually part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
