This is a finely photo-etched metal sheet from the manufacturer Aber in 1:35 scale, from which you build a climbing vine with leaves and tendrils. It is neither a vehicle kit nor a figure, but a scenic accessory that brings a diorama base, a fence, the wall of a house or a wrecked vehicle to life. Photo-etched metal holds its shape once bent, so the tendrils can be wound naturally around a support.
A vine suits rural and urban scenes of the Second World War and civilian subjects alike. It combines with a base board, fences, ruins and other diorama features. The leaves are shaped and glued on one at a time after being taken off the sheet, which gives a naturally irregular growth.
Cut the parts off the fret with a sharp knife or photo-etch scissors and clean up the edges. Degrease the metal first and lay down a base color, a primer, then paint with acrylics; the leaves look more alive with lighter and darker green tones shaded in and a drybrush. Use cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) to attach it to the base.
The accessory is supplied as an unassembled and unpainted photo-etched sheet. Glue, paints and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
