A photo-etched metal detail set in 1:35 scale from Aber for the plastic model of the German Wespe (Sd.Kfz.124) self-propelled howitzer. It is not a vehicle kit but a set of fine photo-etched parts that refine the exterior. The set is meant for experienced modelers.
The Wespe (Sd.Kfz.124) was a German self-propelled howitzer built on the chassis of the Panzer II light tank. In an open fighting compartment it carried a 10.5 cm howitzer and served as mobile artillery support for the tank divisions in the second half of the Second World War. The open compartment offers plenty of room for detailing.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp blade, bend them over a bending tool or a metal rule and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Degrease the metal parts before painting and lay down a primer for metal. Because the compartment is open, pay attention to clean joints, as they will stay in view.
This is a photo-etched accessory for a model, not a standalone vehicle kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
