This set is a detail accessory for dioramas, not a model of a vehicle or a figure. It contains injection-molded plastic wooden barrels in 1:35 scale (not resin). The finely engraved structure of the wood and the hoops makes the barrels a rewarding element with which to bring a courtyard, a store, a landing stage or a supply scene to life, with military equipment as well as in a civilian setting.
Barrels are among the universal props that give a diorama scale, action and a sense of being lived in. Thanks to the injection-molded plastic they are easy to work with ordinary modeling tools and take paint and weathering well, so you can make old weathered wood from them as well as newer, cleaner pieces.
Separate the parts from the sprues with a cutter and glue them with glue for plastic. Over a primer, let the wood come out by layering brown shades and using a dry brush; set the hoops apart with a metallic tone and rust. Accentuate the hollows and joints with a wash and dust the lower edges with pigments to match the setting of the scene.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and figures are not included in the package.
